Your new Bayswater Library is officially open! Just a few doors from the old site at Shop 43, Mountain High Shopping Centre, the upgraded library is designed with the community in mind. With 55% more floor space, visitors can enjoy expanded seating, modern shelving, and open plan layouts that create a bright, inviting atmosphere.
Spaces designed for connection and learning
The new Bayswater Library offers more than just books. Visitors can now enjoy comfortable areas for study, work, or socialising. The facility now boasts bookable meeting rooms and a large community room for local events. There are family friendly change rooms and a convenient book return chute for easy access. The library’s fresh design encourages connection, learning, and growth within the Bayswater community.
Looking ahead with art and creativity
Exciting plans are still to come. A local artist, working alongside Knox young people, will create a welcoming artwork at the library entrance — a lasting symbol of creativity and community spirit. Delivered with support from the Victorian State Government’s Living Libraries Infrastructure Program, the new Bayswater Library is ready for everyone to explore.
