Maroondah Crime Investigation Unit detectives are calling for public help after a violent road rage attack in Bayswater North.
Confrontation Turns Violent on Bayswater Road
Police believe two vehicles clashed on Bayswater Road between Eastfield Road and Canterbury Road about 7.45pm yesterday. Both cars then stopped at the Bayswater Road and Canterbury Road intersection just before 8pm. Investigators allege the offender dragged a man from his vehicle before launching a serious assault. The offender fled immediately afterwards.
Victim Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries
A 52-year-old Officer man sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to hospital. He remains in critical condition. Police arrested a 32-year-old Croydon man in Croydon around 6am today. He is currently assisting detectives with their enquiries.
Detectives Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Investigators urge witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage from the area to contact police. Detectives are especially interested in drivers near the intersection during the incident.
