Police Discover Cannabis in Bayswater Factory
Police have uncovered a commercial quantity of cannabis yesterday inside a factory on Holloway Drive in Bayswater. Officers had responded to a report of a break-in at the property around 10.20am. When police entered, the building was empty and subsequently no arrests were made. Investigations however, quickly uncovered the cannabis hidden inside the premises.
Investigation Underway at Holloway Drive
An inspection of the property quickly uncovered the cannabis hidden inside the premises. A crime scene guard was placed on site to protect the factory while detectives continued to gather evidence. Detectives were again on scene Saturday morning securing evidence.
The SES assisted who provided access and lighting. Police botanists also attended today to complete evidentiary process. Officers removed the drug haul late this afternoon and it will be destroyed in due course.
