A 24-year-old probationary driver in Boronia decided to show off by performing a skid directly in front of local Highway Patrol officers on Friday, 26 September 2025. His attempt at drawing attention quickly backfired.

Positive Drug Test

Soon after, the driver tested positive for illicit drugs. Consequently, police prepared a long list of charges against him.

Multiple Offences Alleged

Offences include driving a prohibited probationary vehicle, causing a loss of traction, careless driving, drug-driving, using a defective vehicle with bald tyres, and failing to display P-plates.

Car Impounded

Police impounded his vehicle for 30 days, costing him $1,016. If convicted, he will lose his licence for at least six months.
