Driveway Drama
Emergency Services were called to Helen’s Road in Ferntree Gully shortly before 6pm on Monday 15th September. A car had flipped on its way into a residents’ driveway. Victoria Police Highway Patrol attended the scene, managing operations and conducting interviews in relation to the incident.
Two CFA units attended the scene as did Knox SES and Ambulance Victoria.
The property front boundary is defined by a low brick wall on both sides of the driveway. Judging by the paint damage down one side of the car, the incident appears to be a simple case of misjudgment. The car presumably clipping the brick wall on the way into the driveway, causing it to roll.
Property Damaged but the People Uninjured
Fortunately, there appeared to be no injuries or any hospitalisation required. The most work in remedying the matter rested with the tow truck driver. In little more than 15 minutes, the car was extricated from the driveway and towed away.
