Chimney Fire in Boronia Contained by Emergency Services
Boronia, Saturday 2nd August — Emergency services responded swiftly to a chimney and roof fire on Stradbroke Road in Boronia tonight, bringing the blaze under control and preventing further damage to the property. At approximately 7:08pm, calls were made to emergency services reporting visible flames and smoke coming from the chimney and roof area of a residential property. Fire Rescue Victoria crews arrived shortly after and began efforts to extinguish the fire.
Fire Contained and Scene Made Safe
Firefighters worked efficiently to bring the situation under control, with the blaze fully extinguished by around 8:45pm. The property was declared safe, and no further spread of fire was reported. A power linesman attended the scene to manage and secure the electrical supply to the affected premises. Following fire suppression efforts, the scene was handed over to an external contractor for assessment and further action.

Fortunately, no occupants were injured in the incident, and it is understood that all residents are safe and accounted for. The cause of the fire has not yet been officially confirmed.
