Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a serious dog attack in Ringwood East.
The incident occurred between 2:30pm and 3:00pm on 4 August at the intersection of Bedford and Dublin Roads. A 75-year-old man sustained significant injuries to his upper body and was transported to hospital. His injuries are considered non-life threatening.

Several members of the public stepped in to assist the man and managed to contain the dog until authorities arrived. Maroondah Council has since seized the animal.
Yarra Ranges Crime Investigation Unit is now appealing for anyone who witnessed the attack or has footage of the incident to come forward. Police are particularly seeking to identify people who helped at the scene.
