Emergency Response on Coleman Road

Emergency services were called to Coleman Road, Wantirna South, shortly before 4:30pm on Tuesday the 30th of December. A fire had broken out inside a residential garage, prompting a swift multi-agency response.

Fire Crews Arrive Quickly

Four units responded to the scene within minutes. They included two appliances from FRV, supported by CFA crews from Bayswater and Boronia. Meanwhile, Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria also attended.

Property Unoccupied, No Injuries

Firefighters worked quickly to contain the blaze. Fortunately, the house was unoccupied at the time. As a result, no injuries were reported.

Cause Under Investigation

Detectives arrived on scene around 5:00pm to begin investigations. Authorities investigated the fire and determined in started with the lithium battery contained in an E-Scooter.

Lithium batteries should be stored in a cool place. They should also not be over charged.
