Fatal Collison In Lynbrook Caps A Disastrous Day on Vic Roads

Tragedy in Lynbrook

A woman in her 50s has died after a head-on collision in Lynbrook. Emergency services rushed to Evans Road about 4.15pm yesterday, the 3rd September. The two vehicles collided head-on.

One dead and the other injured.

The 50-year-old woman could not be saved and died at the scene. The male driver, believed to be in his 30s, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police are continuing to investigate the exact circumstances surrounding the accident.

Motorcyclist Killed in Woori Yallock

Another fatal crash occurred in Woori Yallock yesterday afternoon. Emergency services were called to Healesville-Koo Wee Rup Road just after 2.30pm after a car struck a motorcyclist.

Despite CPR being performed, the rider, yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.

Driver assists Police as other passengers taken to hospital

The car’s driver was not injured and is assisting police. A woman and two children travelling in the vehicle were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The road remains closed in both directions while investigations continue.

Sherbrooke Collision Claims a Life

Earlier yesterday morning, tragedy struck Sherbrooke. At 7.33am, emergency services responded to a vehicle that had veered off Sherbrooke Road, between Mount Dandenong Tourist Road and Nobles Lane.

Circumstances

The car left the roadway and struck a tree. The driver, yet to be formally identified, died at the scene. Police are examining all circumstances leading up to the collision.

Teenager Dies in Newborough Motorcycle Crash

In Newborough, a teenage rider has died following a motorcycle crash. It is understood the rider was travelling from Shanahan Parade into Monash Road shortly before 1pm.

The motorcycle collided with a fence, leaving the male rider fatally injured. A pillion passenger, a teenage girl, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators are urging anyone with dashcam or CCTV to come forward.

Emergency services were called to Clayton Road about 12.50pm following reports of a collision involving a pedestrian.

A woman has died after being struck by a truck in Clayton yesterday afternoon. Despite paramedics’ best efforts, the woman could not be revived.
