Blaze Breaks Out at Dandenong Transfer Station
Emergency Services rushed to the Cleanaway Transfer Station on Thomas Murrell Crescent in Dandenong, after a fire broke out shortly after 6:30pm.
Six Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) units quickly responded, joined by the Hazardous Materials Response Unit and several specialist appliances.
A Rapid Response From the FRV
Thanks to a swift and coordinated response, the fire was brought under control in record time. The firefighters had everything under control shortly before a fast-moving storm rolled in soon after.
Ambulance Victoria attended the scene with a Health Commander to oversee proceedings.
Nothing Rubbish About This Response
Anyone who says nothing exciting happens at a transfer station is clearly talking rubbish. Thanks to FRV’s well-oiled operations, what could have been a major incident was over almost as soon as it began.
