Dramatic Blaze Rocks Doveton
Dramatic scenes unfolded in Doveton today as a fierce blaze tore through a double-storey home on Ash Street.
Shortly after 11am, Fire Rescue Victoria crews rushed to the scene after multiple calls to Triple Zero (000) reported the property fully engulfed in flames.
Within minutes, firefighters arrived and entered the home to battle the blaze.
Crews Battle Flames and Smoke
Arriving within six minutes, crews fought through intense heat and heavy smoke to gain control of the inferno. They worked swiftly to stop the fire from spreading to nearby homes.
The blaze was brought under control in just over half an hour, leaving the property with extensive damage.
Fortunately, no one was inside the home during the fire.
Police Treat Fire as Suspicious
Detectives from the Casey Crime Investigation Unit have now launched an investigation. Early findings suggest the blaze may have been deliberately lit, and it is being treated as suspicious.
Authorities continue to examine the scene as part of their inquiries.
