Knox Detectives Hunt Burglary Suspects After Cash Theft
Detectives are appealing for public assistance after a burglary at a Knox Shopping Centre business resulted in the theft of $5,000 cash.
Investigators from the Knox Crime Investigation Unit allege offenders targeted The Butcher Club at Knox Shopping Centre on the night of 24 May 2026.
Offenders Allegedly Target Business Safe
Police believe the burglary occurred about 9:45pm on Sunday, 24 May.
According to investigators, an offender gained access to the store’s office before stealing approximately $5,000 from a safe.
Detectives are now examining CCTV footage and pursuing several lines of inquiry.
Furthermore, investigators believe the burglary involved careful planning and more than one offender.
CCTV Captures Vehicle of Interest
CCTV footage allegedly captured a white Toyota Hilux dropping an offender at the shopping centre before the burglary.
Police say the vehicle displayed stolen registration plates, identified as 1NC9OL.
Additionally, detectives believe at least two people participated in planning and carrying out the offence.
As a result, investigators are keen to identify both the vehicle and those involved.
Police Appeal for Information
Knox detectives are urging anyone with information to come forward.
In particular, police want to hear from anyone who recognises the male captured on CCTV footage.
Likewise, investigators seek information about the white Toyota Hilux or its recent movements.
