Knoxfield Hit-Run Crash Leaves Woman Injured

Police Investigate Laura Road Collision

Police are investigating a hit-run collision in Knoxfield after two vehicles crashed on Laura Road.

Investigators believe a Mazda CX-3 and a Haval wagon collided about 1.15pm on Monday the 15th of June.

Emergency services attended the scene shortly after the crash. At the same time, traffic delays affected the area while crews assisted those involved.

Woman Taken to Hospital Following Crash

The female driver of the Haval suffered injuries during the collision.

Paramedics assessed her at the scene before transporting her to hospital. Fortunately, authorities believe her injuries are not life-threatening.

Meanwhile, police secured the area and began gathering evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.

One Occupant Flees While Another Arrested

Following the collision, one male occupant of the Mazda allegedly fled the scene on foot.

However, police located and arrested a second male nearby a short time later.

Investigators will interview the arrested man as part of their ongoing inquiries. In the meantime, officers continue searching for the male who left the scene.

Stolen Registration Plates Under Investigation

Police believe the Mazda displayed stolen registration plates at the time of the collision.

Consequently, investigators are examining whether the vehicle links to other alleged offences.

Authorities have not released further details regarding the occupants or the vehicle involved.
