Police Charge Man After Road Rage Assault in Bayswater North
Maroondah Crime Investigation detectives have charged a man after a violent road rage assault in Bayswater North. The incident involved two vehicles travelling along Bayswater Road between Eastfield Road and Canterbury Road about 7.45pm on Friday 19th September.
Confrontation Escalates at Busy Intersection
Both vehicles stopped at the intersection of Bayswater Road and Canterbury Road just before 8pm. Police allege the offender dragged the victim out of his car before seriously assaulting him. The victim, a 52-year-old Officer man, was taken to hospital. He remains in a critical condition.
Arrest Made in Croydon
Police arrested a 32-year-old Croydon man at about 6am yesterday morning. He has been charged with intentionally causing serious injury and other assault-related offences. The man was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on the 22nd of September.
