A High-speed interception on Monash Freeway
Nunawading Highway Patrol officers pulled over a probationary driver this morning, Saturday 20th September in Glen Waverley. The 18-year-old was driving a Volkswagen Golf R at 196 km/h in a 100 km/h zone. The vehicle was intercepted on the outbound lanes of the Monash Freeway around 3am.

The Berwick man is expected to face several charges, including exceeding the speed limit, driving dangerously, probationary driver operating a prohibited vehicle and other traffic offences. His Volkswagen Golf R was impounded for 30 days, an impoundment that will cost him $1,050.
