Peak-Hour Crash in Heavy Rain

Emergency services respond to a multi-vehicle collision at the corner of Tarrara Road and Burwood Highway just after 5:45pm on 2 July.

The incident occurred during heavy rain when a merging vehicle clipped another, causing it to roll. Drivers behind attempted to brake, but several were caught in a nose-to-tail collision.

Paramedics assessed drivers at the scene. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries or hospitalisations.

The crash caused peak-hour traffic to grind to a halt, with delays stretching for kilometres. All lanes have now reopened, but authorities are urging motorists to drive with caution as wet weather continues.
