A male pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle on Boronia Road near Rathmullen Road around 7pm on 3 July.
Eyewitnesses report seeing about half a dozen people gathered near the victim moments after the incident, with a white vehicle stopped and casting light on the scene.
Emergency services responded swiftly, but the man could not be saved and died at the scene. He has not yet been formally identified.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with police. Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Tonight’s incident raises Victoria’s 2025 road toll to more than 150 lives lost.
