A second person has died following a tragic crash in Wantirna South on 10 July.
Emergency services were called to Coleman Road at around 12.20pm after a Toyota Yaris reportedly lost control, mounted the footpath, and struck three pedestrians. The car continued through a fence before coming to rest against a park bench.
A 59-year-old woman from Wantirna South died at the scene.
A 60-year-old local man, who was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, has now also died.
A 2-year-old boy was also hit during the incident but sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, a 91-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with minor injuries. She has not yet been interviewed.
The investigation into the cause of the collision remains ongoing, with police working to determine how the crash occurred.
