Extraordinary Scenes
Police were called to a Mount Waverley property at approximately 9.20pm late night after Neighbour’s heard shouting and dogs barking in an alarmed fashioned. In what was supposed to be a routine welfare check, police discovered the bodies of a man and woman. Both victims had been found to be stabbed to death. The woman, a 39 year old expectant mother was 5 months into her pregnancy. In a horrifying discovery, her partner had been decapitated and his head mounted on a stick. The extraordinary scenes also revealed the suspect had written cryptic messages on the outside of the house including “Karma” “Betrayal and “Enough is Enough”.
Adding Fuel to the Fire
If the actions of the perpetrator weren’t brutal enough, it is reported that the suspect was seen an hour earlier at a local petrol station with Jerry cans. It is unclear if any petrol was poured on the property or what he had plans to set alight.
Assisted Arrest
In the early hours of this morning, around 1am, officers arrested a 34-year-old man at Westall train station. Police were able to locate the man after he made a call to an associate in New South Wales. The associate was so disturbed by the discussion he contacted NSW Police who alerted Victoria authorities. This enabled Victoria Police to be able to successfully locate the suspect. He is currently in custody and will be interviewed by detectives in relation to the deaths. He is known to the address.
At this stage, police are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
