Firearm Allegedly Pointed on Burwood Highway
Police received reports of a firearm sighting after an incident on Burwood Highway on the 3rd of December. Around 3.40pm that day, a firearm was allegedly pointed from a white Holden Astra toward another driver. The Astra then moved erratically, and it shifted between lanes with sudden movements. Soon after, it entered a nearby shopping centre carpark on Stud Road.
Stolen Astra Crashes Into Parked Cars
Knox police arrived quickly and continued the response inside the carpark. The allegedly stolen Astra then crashed into three parked vehicles. Both occupants left the vehicle and ran from the scene. However, officers pursued them and made swift arrests. An imitation firearm was also seized during the response.

No Injuries After the Carpark Crash
Fortunately, no one suffered injuries during the entire incident. The carpark remained busy, yet emergency crews handled the scene efficiently.
Two Men Now Facing Charges
A 28-year-old Cranbourne man now faces a theft of a motor vehicle charge. He was remanded and will appear at the Ringwood Magistrates’ Court today, Tuesday the 4th of December. Meanwhile, a 35-year-old Rockbank man was charged with possessing an imitation firearm. He was bailed and will appear at the Ringwood Magistrates’ Court on the 25th of February 2026.
