Firearm Report Sparks Urgent Police Response
Police responded after reports of a firearm being pointed from a stolen Holden Astra on Burwood Highway. The incident occuring at about 3.40pm today, Wednesday the 3rd of December.
The weapon was allegedly aimed at another driver during a brief confrontation.
Additionally, the Astra was seen swerving across multiple lanes before entering a Stud Road shopping centre carpark.
Stolen Car Collides With Three Parked Vehicles
Knox police arrived quickly and located the white Astra in the busy carpark.
The allegedly stolen vehicle then crashed into three stationary cars.
However, no injuries were recorded despite the significant impact.
Suspects Flee But Officers Move In Fast
The two male occupants allegedly dumped the Holden and ran from the scene.
However, officers rapidly closed in and arrested both men.
They also seized an imitation firearm linked to the earlier report.
Ongoing Police Investigation Continues
A 35-year-old man and a 28-year-old man will be interviewed by police.
Furthermore, detectives are reviewing available CCTV to confirm the sequence of events.
The investigation remains active.
