Teen Dies Days After Pound Road Collision
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a fatal pedestrian collision in Narre Warren South. Emergency services responded to Pound Road about 4.30pm on the 13th of February. Police allege a Toyota C-HR station wagon travelled along Pound Road before leaving the carriageway. It then struck a 16-year-old boy and crashed into a tree. Paramedics treated the teenager at the scene. However, crews airlifted him to hospital with critical injuries. Tragically, the Narre Warren South teen died yesterday, on the 20th of February.
Driver Transported with Minor Injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver remained at the scene and assisted police. The 48-year-old Narre Warren South woman suffered minor injuries. Paramedics transported her to hospital for assessment. Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the collision. Furthermore, forensic officers are reviewing the evidence obtained from the scene and the vehicle.
