Driver Killed in Horror Crash
A driver has died after a serious crash in Burwood East this morning, Wednesday the 22nd of April. Emergency services rushed to the intersection of Springvale Road and Weeden Drive / Vision Drive just after 9.30am. Reports indicated a car struck another vehicle before hitting a tree. Despite emergency efforts, the driver died at the scene. Authorities have not yet formally identified the man.
Second Driver Stops at Scene
Meanwhile, the second driver stopped immediately after the crash.
They were not injured during the incident. Police confirmed the driver remained at the scene and assisted officers.
Police investigate circumstances
Nunawading Highway Patrol officers are now investigating the collision.
However, the exact cause of the crash remains unknown.
Investigators will examine how the vehicles collided before the impact.
They will also assess any contributing factors.
