Australian music icon Guy Sebastian drew a massive crowd at Westfield Knox on Thursday, August 14, as he promoted his latest album, 100 Times Around the Sun. The appearance kicked off at 5pm and featured a live performance of fan favorites including “Maybe,” “Battle Scars,” and “Choir” just to name a few.

People of all ages sang along and supported the harmonizing, enthusiastically sharing in the experience between the artist and his devoted fans.
Happier Hunting Ground
The turnout easily eclipsed a previous appearance at JB Hi-Fi in Darwin’s Casuarina Square, where only a handful of fans turned up for the event. That particular event ending abruptly after an awkward moment with a young girl who attempted to bestow upon the teenage heartthrob a painting of the star that she had produced.
Autographs and Photographs
Fans had the chance to purchase CDs of his latest release at $22.99 or grab a vinyl record version for only $64.99. The purchase, earning a spot in a long line for a personalized autograph and a photo opportunity with the star himself. The event attracted hundreds of excited fans, proving that Guy’s star power is still burning brightly.
Accomplishments
Since his breakout in 2003, winning the first series of Australian Idol, Guy Sebastian has achieved more than 1.3 billion streams and sold over 7 million units worldwide — a testament to his staying power in the Australian and global music scenes.
Sebastian has since released ten top ten albums, including three number ones. Eight have gained either platinum or multi-platinum certification. He has also achieved twenty three top twenty singles, with fourteen of them, reaching the top ten, including six number ones.

He is the only Australian male artist in Australian chart history to achieve six number one singles, and places third overall for all Australian acts.
