Man Dies Following Serious Oakleigh Collision
A man has died after a truck struck him in Oakleigh this evening Sunday the 14th June.
Emergency services rushed to the intersection of Burlington Street and Huntingdale Road about 6:10pm.
Despite emergency efforts however, the male pedestrian died at the scene.
Police have not yet formally identified the man.
Truck Driver Remains at Scene
Meanwhile, the truck driver escaped injury during the collision.
The driver, who was the vehicle’s sole occupant, stopped immediately and remained at the scene.
Investigators are now examining the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.
